About This Unit
Looking for a cozy cabin in the woods that will be so much fun that you won't want to leave? The Catamount Cabin is for you!
This A-frame cabin sleeps 4 people, in a spacious master bedroom with a queen bed, and a second bedroom with 2 twin bunks. You can start your day with coffee on the deck, overlooking the peaceful beauty of the majestic peaks of the Cimarron and Sneffels mountain ranges. Next, you have 40 acres of land to wander and explore. In winter, you can cross-country ski or showshoe! No matter how you choose to travel, take a picnic lunch and find a beautiful spot to take a break, relax and gaze at the beauty around you. After returning from your walk or hike, you can climb into the hot tub with a glass of wine while dinner is cooking on the grill (both gas and charcoal BBQ's are available for your grilling pleasure). Cooking inside is also great fun with all of the modern amenities like a gas stove, modern stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and an island with butcher block top for prepping or use as a bar. To top it off, there is a cozy wood burning fireplace in the corner of the kitchen, and plenty of space to gather. A jetted tub is available in the upstairs bathroom for a comforting soak before bed.
No outdoor fires are permitted at any of the Catamount properties per the HOA Bylaws, as a result of the possibility of a forest fire.
The Catamount Cabin has a unique, pull-down staircase leading to the upstairs bedrooms. While relaxing in front of the TV in the living room, there is a pellet stove for added warmth. Books and games are plentiful at the cabin as well, for even more fun! WiFi is available for those who love their electronics, or are required to check in with the outside world.
We ask that guests please be respectful of the neighbors; ATV's are not permitted to be ridden anywhere but on the road.
Please note: For winter stays (November 1 to May 1), a 4WD or AWD vehicle is required.

Killer Views, Very Private and Secluded!! What an incredible place!! Perched on top of a ridge, you'll not find a better 180 degree view of the surrounding rugged mountains from a great deck and swimsuit-optional hot tub! Kitchen has everything you need. Oh, and the view from your upstairs shower/jet tub is nothing short of remarkable! Comfortable beds full cable TV, and strong Wi-Fi. Perfect for a family of four, but could stretch to 5, as long as the extra is a kid in the day bed in the Master BR, or an adult on the couch downstairs. Bunk beds for the kids, great view from the Master for mom and dad. Book this place without worry!! Jeffrey S.

So cute and amazing views! Master bed needs a new mattress (it's lumpy) and needs better instructions for Hot Tub. It was clean and super cute. We enjoyed our stay!! Valerie B.

We enjoyed our time at the Catamount Cabin. It was a beautiful location! We loved the mountain views and private location. It was the perfect size for our family. The hot tub was the perfect ending to every day. We found the cabin very clean when we arrived. Kyle D.

Great cabin! Great views! The views did not disappoint! Sat in the outdoor jacuzzi while the snow was on the ground and enjoyed the panorama! The cabin was small and quaint, very suitable for the 2 of us. The rental agency said we needed a 4x4 vehicle to get to the cabin....we were glad we listened. We had a lot of snow the night before we left for the airport. A little schetchy leaving the next morning with the ice! Would live to come back in the summer! Thanks for the great stay! Bonnie K.

Fantastic!! This cabin is absolutely wonderful. Everything we needed, we had. The view is incredible. If traveling to this cabin in the winter time, a 4X4 vehicle is a must. I loved that I was able to bring my dog. Sleep 4 comfortably. We will definitely be back! Dusti J.

This cabin was perfect for our family of five! The pictures do not do the views justice from the deck and hot tub! Gorgeous views of Mt. Sneffels. The stairs were a little wobbly towards the top. There was also a bit of a larger gap between slats that made me nervous with our 18-month-old. That being said, we would still love to stay there again! Laura N.

What a view!
We had a wonderful two days in this cabin. It is perfectly situated to visit both Telluride and Ouray. You can take a great hike right out the front door. Wildlife, wildflowers and stars abound. I have never enjoyed a hot tub or a cup of morning coffee so much. This house had everything we needed. It was clean and well appointed. We want to return. Laura S.

Great deck, location, view
I enjoyed the house. Very soft bed and pillows. Hope to stay there again. Two minor points to improve, not in the heart of complaining, just feedback. The front door lock is difficult to lock/unlock. Had to use the back door. The curtains in the bedroom don't do enough to keep out the sun. One window doesn't have a curtain or blinds. Lastly I want to say again I loved the deck, the quiet location and view. Hope I have reason and opportunity to rent it again. Scott

Views .... Stairs
We absolutely loved the privacy and the deck and amazing views. The bed was comfortable, the owner had a great collection of books providing information on the area, and the hot tub, and washer and dryer were nice amenities. The stair rail at the top of the stairs was a safety issue for young and old alike. When we arrived the railing at the top two stairs was folded back, probably to alert you to the fact that it was on a hinge and not secure. The option then was to not have a railing at the top or relying on a railing on a hinge, and should you lose your balance the railing could flip back. We were very cautious on the stairs and tried to limit the trips up and down. The stairs also block the view of the television from the table and are situated right in the middle of the room. A curiosity was there was a full length clear glass window in the bathroom with no curtain (forgo your modesty, although the grounds are very private) While there was wifi, the signal was not strong enough for us to watch videos on our Kindle Fire. If we were to return we would take lamps to be able to read in the living room, a fan and a non-stick fry pan. Having said all that, the cabin's views and setting were absolutely remarkable and we would consider returning. If it had not been for handrail issue I would have given the property a 5 star rating. Barbara W.
